The Bay of Seven Emirs

There is a bay, hidden among the soft curves of the Sicilian coast, where for centuries the sea has whispered a story of love, courage, and destiny. It is here, in the golden stillness of the Bay of the Seven Emirs, that time seems to stand still, and every wave carries with it the echo of an ancient legend.

It is said that, in a distant era, a young woman from a noble Arab family fell madly in love with a humble fisherman. Theirs was a forbidden love, pure and rebellious, born between stolen glances on the shore and promises whispered at sunset. When the two decided to escape together, it was the night that covered their steps, and the sea their only accomplice.

But their escape did not go unnoticed. The girl’s seven brothers—fierce, proud, bound by honor more than by heart—launched themselves in pursuit, furious, determined to stop this love that defied the rules of family and blood.

It was then that something inexplicable happened.

As the couple sailed away, and the brothers chased them along the coast, the Gods observed the scene. Moved by the strength of love and struck by the cruelty of revenge, they decided to end the chase. In an instant, the seven brothers were transformed into rock, petrified forever in the sea they wished to cross. From that day on, seven rocks have silently emerged from the water, motionless, aligned like monks in prayer: eternal guardians of a story that still vibrates among the waves.
